After years in an instrumental, ambient rock group in Houston, TX, Scott Andrews left Seraphim and after a move to Austin, TX, became fascinated with the singer/songwriter's ability to move an audience through the stories within their songs. Songwriting began late in his life at the age of 22, but after releasing an EP debuting the sonic fusion of digital and acoustic elements built around a song and a story, and then the finished LP, "Sirens", categorized as "Digital Rock", SERAPH received airplay on over 25 AAA radio stations nationwide from Hawaii to Maine.
Not one to rest long, Scott Andrews quickly adapted a more "Austin-friendly" sound, dropping the synths and electro drum beats for a powerhouse trio with screaming leads and driving beats more akin to his "Texican" roots, as he puts it. This new sound is quickly captivating audiences of all kinds in and around Austin. Another LP is due soon featuring the SERAPH Trio.
In addition to these works, he realeased a double disc set of instrumental music for film under the name, Seraphim, titled "Origins & Evolutions" and an acoustic EP, "Tell Me a Story". In three years Andrews has produced 4 works that are completely unique in their style and mood, showcasing his abilities on several instruments, such as the violin, piano, lap steel, mandolin, bass and drums. However, the most moving of these talents is his voice. Powerful yet emotive and with undeniable authenticity and conviction. You can tell he has earned his lyrics in full. He hopes that regardless of genre, his music will move you...
From Digital Rock to Acoustic folk, the language of music is one Andrews can speak quite fluently
