Tour de France 2020 - One day One story : Champs Elysées
par tourdefrance
The final finish of the Tour is in itself an achievement for any cyclist, whether he arrives there wearing the Yellow Jersey or whether he is simply enjoying the pride of having completed the world's greatest race. Since 1975, this objective has been symbolised by the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, which has become one of the most sought-after places on the sprinting planet for the prestigious bouquet at stake at the end of the stage. The time of celebration takes on an even more spectacular aspect during the anniversary editions. This was the case for the centenary of the event in 1903 and for the 100th edition of the Tour in 2013, when a sound and light show was projected on the façade of the triumphal arch.
