In conjunction with the ShopRite LPGA Classic, golf powerhouse Lexi Thompson teamed up with fellow pros Natalie Gulbis, Kathleen Ekey and Brooke Pancake to take swings at various targets along the New Jersey shoreline from atop the Revel Resort in Atlantic City. More than 350 devoted spectators braved the 40 mph wind gusts to witness golf's leading ladies making a splash at this ultimate skills competition. In the end, it was Kathleen Ekey who racked up the most points and captured the winning title by successively reaching the 150-point target.
The pros showcased their talent at 87 feet above sea level from a larger than life tee box. The driving challenge allowed each athlete to take seven shots at targets ranging from 75 yards to nearly 250 yards along the sandy shore. Windy conditions forced the competitors to swing low, relying on the 8-iron as their club of choice. It didn't take long before Thompson broke out her signature shot, utilizing a Red Bull can as a tee to rip a few golf balls.
