The Sculpture Music project was formed 3 years ago, looking to explore the unique sonics of the Halo handpan, and its predecessor the Hang.
Rich soundscapes and textures inspired the music - the first two releases, Minor Songs In Major Keys and Beneath The Waves combined thick acoustic guitar layers and trip-hop flavored beats, with a lyrical bass foundation provided by John Shaw.
Both albums received extensive airplay on Tom Robinsons show on BBC Radio 6, and also BBC Introducing.
Sculpture Music were selected for the Emerging Talent Award by Glastonbury Festival in 2015, and have played at Glastonbury several times - including two dates in 2016 - as well as the WOMAD festival.
Notable gigs include supporting Manu Delago (Bjork) and UK venues such as The Canteen in Bristol.
The song Let Go is taken from a new solo EP due for release early 2017.
“...a fantastic noise, great groove and playing...”
Tom Robinson - BBC Radio 6
“...threading the strands of Folk, Jazz and World Music together, displaying a style entirely their own and impossible to classify...”
