Currently recording songs with Len Arran as producer Nigel Place, a singer and writer of songs, Nigel first started to 'play' guitar in a metal covers band at the age of 14. Having checked out the Singer/Songwriter scene in Dublin, Nigel decided that he was no worse than the worst and first played at one of Dave Murphy's infamous tuesday nights upstairs at the International Bar, becoming a regular there and was one of the guests selected to play at the special closing shows to mark that era. Another one of the nights Nigel played often was Molloy's Open Mic in Christchurch, hosted by Ken Burke. Both of these nights saw such acts as Ken Burke, Damien Dempsey, Mundy, Paddy Casey, Declan O'Rourke, Roesy and Gemma Hayes all take the stage on a regular basis. Now after a numbers of years out spent getting to grips with being a family man, Nigel has ventured out again with a new batch of songs and a resurgent love for music and writing. Nigel can be found most Tuesday's in The Bankers Inn on Trinity Street hosted by Dave Murphy.
