Another legendary Northern Soul smash, that we filmed for The Strange World Of Northern Soul, from Atlanta soul star James Fountain. The record was on William Bell's own label, Peachtree Records, and tragically James passed away not long after filming this classic for us. He was so excited that anyone had ever heard of him, and that his song was so popular in England, when he thought no-one ever cared about his career. William Bell was such a marvellous help in organising this for us. James certainly gave it his all, and it seems so sad that this was the one and only time he ever got to perform this song, a record which, along with The Carstairs record, changed Blackpool Mecca, and changed the face of the Northern Soul scene forever, heralding in a new era of more modern soul music in the mid 1970s.
