BROTHER FOX - CLIMB THE TREE
PRESENTED BY SARA
Brother Fox is an experiment in lifestyle design. With a high-energy folk/root infusion, our sole purpose is to amplify your world- to reconnect you with this very moment, the right now, your present and our gift.
We aim to make every car ride a road trip, every day an adventure and every moment a never-ending festival. We want our rhythmic jams to be the soundtrack to your world, each syncopation tied with the heartbeat of your experience, so that before long- you find yourself forgetting where real life stops, and our world begins."
Born of a desire to play festivals, Brother Fox has been enjoying success since the win of the much-coveted Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Competition in 2012. Taking out the top prize secured the band an official performance slot at the 2012 Bluesfest and a main stage appearance for 2013. The festival appearances have been cumulating heavy and fast with recent inclusions at Red Deer Festival, Brisbane Festival, The Caloundra Music festival, Brisbane's 2high Festival and Grotto Fest where the band was described as
"The Australian reggae version of Mumford & Sons...Throw in a bit of Bob Marley and a twist of latin, then you have but a mere glimpse of what Brother Fox are! Pure energy and festival fun!" GrottoFest
2012 has seen the band supporting Brisbane reggae/roots artists including The Lyrical, Darky Roots and One Dread at some of Brisbane's top music venues The Joynt, Solbar and many more. To add to the list of growing support shows, Brother Fox have just come off the back of supporting Jinja Safari on a leg of their Rural Youth indent tour in early December.
Brother Fox is setting its sights firmly on the future with the plan for summer being an imminent EP release and a "play as many shows as possible" attitude. To kick off the vibrant summer, the band hit the stage at the newly appointed Tamworth Music Festival, The Summer Starter Festival alongside Australian artists Josh Pyke, Bluejuice and Boy & Bear on November 24th.
Your world, our music, one experience.
