PRESENTED BY LAYLA ANNA-LEE
a.thousand.ways.to.fall are James Delin, Matt Crooks, Alex Fox, and Dan Atkinson. Matt, Alex and Dan were in a previous band, but when that band split, the three decided to form a new, more rockier, edgier band than before, really pushing their talents as musicians. They had already written a few songs, as they searched for their new vocalist and second guitarist. The song they had written so far, really allowed the three to explore new ways of developing their music. After auditioning a few singers, they were contacted by James. He performed an acoustic cover of the John Mayer song, 'Stop This Train'. The band were completely blown away, and, without even hesitating, the three offered James the spot in the band, which he gladly accepted. a.thousand.ways.to.fall. were born.
With the band already having written songs prior to James coming on board, as well as James having songs of his own, the band began to develop these songs even furthur. Songs they have been working on include "Here", "Whatever You Say", and "Commit Me To Memory". With the band soon going into the studio to record the EP, they hope to get a lot of input on the songs from their producer, as to how they make the songs even better.
The band's first priority is early February, when they go into the studio to work on recording the songs. They hope that this will make the songs as best as they can get them, in order to begin gigging in March. On March 11th, they went to the CSR FM (97.4FM or www.csrfm.com) studios for a live interview, acoustic performance, and the first radio play of their single. Around this time, the band also recieved a lot of local media attention from Gig Guide Magazine, KMFM, KM Newspapers, and BBC Kent Introducing.
Bands that they have shared the stage with include: Eleven Eleven, Gunner SGT, Someday I Am, CWB, and Colt.44.
