Croatia, which seduces international travelers with its dreamy littoral, the impressive richness of its territory and its crystal-like sea, still charms the MICHELIN Guide’s inspectors with its gastronomy, packed with freshness and flavors. Following the launch of the MICHELIN Guide Croatia in June 2022, we take a closer look at this wonderful region. With 7 new additions, the 2022 MICHELIN Guide selection is composed of 84 restaurants including two iconic establishments, Nav and Tač, which have two completely different styles. The two chefs tell us more about their products, their cuisine and the culinary traditions, as well as the importance of the seasons in Croatian culture. While Tvrtko Šakota, chef of Nav, proposes original Croatian cuisine with a focus on the country’s top-quality ingredients, the team of the restaurant Tač particularly focus on the fish, which is of a very high quality and prepared in simple, traditional recipes. Discover why now is an exciting time to be a chef in Croatia, as the Croatian culinary patrimony gets the international recognition it deserves.
