Axa Assistance UK and Ireland's CEO, Bob Ewers, highlights for News Insurances what the main activity the company is in the UK, that 2010's results are good despite a tough market and outlines what 2012's focus will be. Axa Assistance UK and Ireland is part of the Axa Assistance Group, which is in turn part of Axa France. Financial results for 2010 were satisfying for the Chief Executive, and this despite tough market conditions. Turnover for 2010 was GBP140m, leading to a profit up 4% to GBP5.5m. The UK represents the third country in terms of importance for the Axa Assistance Group the with main product lines being motor and home emergency. For 2012, the company will be mainly focussing on motor and home emergency. There is new product innovation in motor with mis-fuelling cover, and there should be cover provided for electric vehicles.
