Architects Shine New Light on Assassin's Creed Unity

Situated in Paris during the French Revolution, Assassin’s Creed Unity marked players with its stunning architectural recreation of the city, with the Ubisoft Montreal team having spent years researching to make it just right. But what players experience may be more than meets the eye – what is the relationship between architecture and video games and how can we push the boundaries of architectural design? Introducing The Assassin's Creed Unity Architecture Project by Luke Pearson and Sandra Youkhana – a project that examines this unique relationship by looking at the way players experience the game’s environments. This is the newest addition to Ubisoft's Carte Blanche series, to show inspiring and emotional aspects of Ubisoft's video games. Artists from various backgrounds are contacted and asked to reinterpret Ubisoft worlds with their skills and creativity to deliver an original creative asset (ex: video, 3D design, illustration, etc.).
