10949 Femmes - Bande Annonce
par Les films des deux rives
In this highly personal, intimate documentary, filmmaker Nassima Guessoum travels to Algiers to capture the forgotten story of the role that women played in the Algerian War of Independence (1954-62). Her focus is a former rebel fighter, Nassima Hablal, former secretary of the FLN executive committe, now a grandmotherly presence, who shares her recollections of the events that made her a heroine to so many. Her story-and those of women like her-raises the question: What is the price of freedom?
