An assembly of students at Paris’s prestigious Sciences Po voted on April 19 to recommence the occupation of campus buildings in central Paris the following morning. The decision came despite a poll conducted by the university of 13,000 students which, it said, found that only 24.8 percent of them supported the protest.Police were on the scene at rue Saint Guillaume and were allowing access only to residents and students. The students were protesting reform proposals by President Emmanuel Macron that would overhaul the selection process for universities.A number of other prestigious institutes of political studies have followed the lead of the Paris Sciences Po and also blockaded their campuses, Le Monde reported.
